We are looking for a full or part-time small animal vet to join our experienced and welcoming team of vets.
The role will likely involve some weekend work, but may or may not involve OOH work depending on the applicant’s preferences.
Full-time hours are 4 and a half days a week, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings and an equal share of the 1 in 10 on-call rota. Part-time hours are scaled down from here accordingly.
As well as the facilities you see on our website, we also have a visiting MRI unit once a month.

VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST/TRAINEE VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST

Two positions available:
Position 1: 30 hrs per week plus weekend/cover rota
Alternate weekly shifts:
Week 1 – 7.30am-1.30pm
Week 2 – 1.30pm-7.30pm
Position 2: 37.5 hrs per week plus weekend/cover rota
Alternate weekly shifts:
Week 1 – 7.30am-3.30pm
Week 2 – 11.30am-7.30pm
The job will primarily require the applicant to cover Reception duties at our Somerset Road Veterinary Hospital in Almondbury.
We are looking to recruit a receptionist who will provide a high standard of customer service and clinical care, whilst promoting animal welfare and maintaining Donaldson’s excellent reputation.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a bright & happy disposition, dedicated to Customer Care, you will be expected to keep your professional knowledge updated with CPD and be committed to improving our standards by involving yourself in training.
Previous Veterinary reception experience is preferred although not essential as full training will be given.
Candidates must have good communication & computer skills, be flexible and have a positive attitude.
(A car and valid driver’s licence are preferable but not essential)
